Special Projects
With the generous support of community volunteers and donors, CAH conducts two major special projects for over 200 of O‘ahu’s sexually abused children each year. • Our Back-to-School Project provides new backpacks and school supplies to sexually abused children and their siblings each summer. A large majority of CAH children reside in household whose incomes are below the federal poverty line. Their monthly income barely covers basic living expenses, with little funds left to purchase backpacks and the supplies required by their schools.

Thanks to the generosity of individuals, community groups and local businesses who donate cash and needed supplies, each CAH child is prepared with backpacks and supplies on the first day of school.

• Our Christmas Angel Project provides personalized holiday gifts to sexually abused children and their siblings, giving them the opportunity to receive a special gift for Christmas. Through this heartwarming project, local businesses, community groups, schools, families and individuals make a holiday wish come true for each CAH child.
